Description

Color: Black; White A black and white reproduction photograph of the Delgado family, La Casa Nueva courtyard, ca. 1925. The family is posed on the western side of the courtyard, which is all dirt and no sign of any work done to it to date. Seated on a wood bench with wicker seat and back and with two Mexican-style pillows on the ends is Eulalia Delgado, wearing her white domestic's uniform (dress, hat, hose and shoes) and her daughter Frances, wearing a light-colored dress, knee-length socks and dark-colored shoes. Standing to the right of the bench, and wearing a dark-colored suit and tie and white shirt is Benjamin, the elder son. Seated on the ground in front is younger son Gabino, also wearing a dark-suit with short pants; black socks and shoes and white shirt, though he seems to not wear a tie. Behind the group in the background is part of the portico on the west side of the courtyard with potted plants and brick remnants visible at the edge of the sidewalk. In mint condition, the item has no wear or damage. Copy of negatives by Paul Spitzzeri. Number-Units: 1
