Description

Color: Brown A color polaroid photograph of the demolition of the original Pump House, ca. 1977. The building is shown largely demolished with the roof and cupola gone and the four walls still standing. The doorway is on the left with a small rectangular window immediately adjacenet to it. The door and window glass and frame are gone. Piles of wood lay within and without the structure, but part of the pump can be seen inside. At left is the security fence enveloping the historic grounds during restoration and in the background are parts of oak and palm trees, indicating the view is to the west. At the bottom of the artifact is an ink inscription reading "Pump House Demolition." With little indication of wear or damage, the artifact is in good condition. Number-Units: 1
