Description
DETAIL OF CASTILE Y LEON SYMBOL, SOUTH WINDOW, WALTER JR.'S ROOM
Color: Black; White
A black and white photograph of a detail in the south window of Walter Jr.'s bedroom in La Casa Nueva, ca. 1978. The focus is on the heraldic symbol of the Spanish royal houses of Castile, denoted by a castle at the left panel and Leon, as in the lion at right. The castle appears like a rook chess figure, while the lion stands on its hind legs with its forelegs in the air and tongue sticking out of its mouth. The border is leading in the shape of a shield, while around the shield are crossed leading lines. With little indication of wear or damage, the artifact is in good condition.
