Description

DETAIL OF "DON QUIXOTE TESTING HIS HELMET" PANEL, LCN LIBRARY Color: Black; White A black and white photograph of a detail from the La Casa Nueva Library west window showing a scene from "Don Quixote," ca. 1980. The close-up shows a panel with the caption "Don Quixote testing his helmet," above which is the protagonist of Miguel Cervantes' novel in a room with his left hand extended toward his armor and equipage and his right hand holding a sword. Shields, swords, lances, and bookcases are also in the room at upper right. Two women look through an open door at the upper left. A border of glass and horizontal and vertical leading borders the scene and there are horizontal wood supports at top and bottom with diagonal leading partially visible above and below.
