Description

Color: Black; White A black and white photograph composite of three panels from the north side french door in the La Casa Nueva Master Bedroom, ca. 1978. The artifact is composed of eight images attached with scotch tape. The panels from top to bottom are: the Mexican seal under Spanish rule with a crown in gold and red at the top, a shield with the Mexican eagle and snake, and a scroll beneath; an emigrant wagon train at a camp fire, showing several wagons and persons around the fire; and the Spanish seal with the castle and lion symbolizing Castile y Leon, surmounted by a crown in gold and red and a scroll beneath--similar to the top design. On the reverse upper right, in blue ink, is: "Temple Mansion / Master Bedroom / North Glass Doors / West leaf / Full Scale." At the reverse upper left, in pencil, is "D-201." The artifact, used as part of the replication of the door and which is a duplicate of 92.10.2, is in poor condition with much use of pressure sensitive tape; many creases; a great number of tears on the edges, one of which is repaired with masking tape; pin holes; and dented corners (the lower right is missing). Number-Units: 1
