Description

DETAIL, WEST SIDE OF TEMPLE BUILDING, ALHAMBRA, FEBRUARY 1997 A black and white photograph of detail from the western end of the Temple Building, 319-329 W. Main St., Alhambra, February 1997. The two-story building, completed by the Temple Estate Company in 1926 was a Spanish-colonial revival style retail structure razed a few days after this image was taken. Shown at the top center are two Spanish-style coats of arms made out of plaster. They are set within three columns making up framing for a pair of windows beneath. Above the coats of arms is a single row of tiles on the roof. The windows are part of a row of windows spanning the length of the building. Below the windows are sign boxes. At the bottom of the photograph are, at center, a doorway for two units and, on either side of the doorway, large plate glass windows. The photograph, a close-up of 97.38.8, is in mint condition. None Number-Units: 1
