Description

DIAMOND JUBILEE PENDANT, LOS ANGELES F&AM LODGE NO. 42 Color: Gold A commemorative pendant for the diamond jubilee of the Los Angeles Lodge 42 of the Free & Accepted Masons, 1924. The pendant, which is of gold metal and in the shape of the square-and-compass design associated with Freemasonry has a faux diamond set at the top of the item. There is a two-link chain at the top, as well. Inscribed on the face of the pendant is the lodge name, location, the words "DIAMOND JUBILEE" and the years "1849," when the first California lodge opened in San Francisco and "1924," the commemoration date. On the reverse is the name of the manufacturer "Lars Co." With some soiling in grooves on the surface and light tarnish to the back and chain links, the overall condition is good.
