Description

Documents pertaining to the sale by William Workman of the property of William B. Lee, late February 1855. Two items are dated the 24th and 26th and the material mainly consists of lists of items and amounts for the sale, which may have been to raise funds for El Monte farmer Lee's defense in a murder case in which he was convicted and sentenced to death before the state Supreme Court ordered a new trial, which never occurred. With general creasing, stains, tears and wear, the overall condition is fair.
