Description

Color: Black, brown, green, orange, red, yellow A doily with an embroidered butterfly design, ca. 1900, believed to have been made by Lucille C. Workman [Buehler Montenegro], daughter of Joseph and Josephine Belt Workman. There is a white border with rounded edges, like flower petals, at four points of which are large embroidered butterflies in black, brown, green, orange, red, white and yellow. Between the butterflies are designs that may be flowers with a base and three stems topped by circular objects and colors in black, brown, green, red, and white. There are a number of stains and several creases on the doily, which is in fair condition.
