Description

Color: Black; White A draft deed concerning an interest in Alcatraz Island from John H. and Anita D. Temple to O. M. Jenkins, October 1902. The document, on a preprinted deed form, is not dated beyond the month and year and appears to be a draft in John Temple's hand. The sum of $1.00 was to be exchanged for a one-third interest of the Temples based upon an earlier, unspecified, deed from A. M. W. Temple, John's mother. The document was not signed, sealed, or notarized. With a two-inch long tear atthe bottom right, crreases, surface soiling, and the original quarter folds, the overall condition is fair.
