Description

PHOTOGRAPH, DRIVER AL GORDON IN PARKED GILMORE SPECIAL NO. 5, Los Angeles, 1920s. The smiling Gordon is in the open cockpit, hands on the wheel, of the dark painted car, which has the Gilmore name, for the Los Angeles oil company, on the cockpit panel, while the number "5" is at the rear. The exhaust pipe extends from the engine compartment to the rear. In the background is a thickly-landscaped area with fencing, suggesting the location is a home. Gordon's name is in pencil on the reverse. With extensive losses to the corners, several large pin holes, major creasing, and stains, the condition is fair because the area around the car is largely unaffected, except for creasing.
