DUSTJACKET FOR "GOVERNOR DUMMER ACADEMY HISTORY: 1763-1963"

A book jacket for "Governor Dummer Academy History: 1763-1963," by John W. Ragle (Boston: Newburyport Press, Inc., 1963), 187 pp. On the front is a black and white photograph taken on the school grounds with the Mansion House at the left of the background visible through many trees. At the front of the house is a large lawn area. At the center of the foreground is a stone with the inscription "5 33 / N B / 1708." The title is superimposed at the center of the photograph and the author's name is at the bottom; both are in white. The title and author's name are also on the spine. On the left interior flap is an synopsis of the book, while a brief biography of the author, who was a former Academy staff person, is on the back. A black and white photograph of the author is also on the back. With only light abrasions at the corners, the artifact is in good condition.
