Description

"East Park, Los Angeles," Adolf Freese, ca. 1900s. The view is from an elevated position above a large lake, which has a small island in the middle and which is surrounded by thick groves of trees as well as lawns and walks. Persons are walking and sitting on benches by the shore. While the title might indicate Eastlake, now Lincoln, Park, the view looks like Hollenbeck Park in Boyle Heights, east of downtown. Freese's cartouche is on the reverse center. With light soiling on the image and more soiling, stains, abrasions, moderate darkening to image, and pest damage to the mount, the overall condition is good to fair.
