Description

Color: Brown A color polaroid photograph of the east wall of the Workman House basement after restablization, 12 July 1977. The wall appears to be mainly brick, though there is a large section at center that appears to be white paint or plaster over the brick. It is unsure, moreover, what work was done to stabilize the wall. At the upper right, behind the wall, is a portion of the cement block that was used to rebuild the outer portion of the east wall of the house. At the bottom of the basement wall are some remnants and pieces of brick and a small part of the floor is visible. At the top are rafters and beams for the support of the floor above and some of the plumbing pipes are also visible. At the bottom is the ink inscription "East End - Basement Wall Stabilized / Workman House 7/12/77." In good condition, the artifact shows little indication of wear or damage. Number-Units: 1
