Description
EAST WINDOW DETAIL OF ST. BARBARA, WALTER JR.'S BEDROOM
Color: Black; White
A black and white photograph of a detail in the east window showing St. Barbara in Walter Jr.'s bedroom in La Casa Nueva, ca. 1978. The figure is within an oval shaped panel formed by dark leading. The figure of the saint is in yellow and she is in a flowing robe with an aura around her head. In her right hand she holds a long feather or perhaps a feather quill pen. In her left hand, she holds a chalice with the eucharist in it. Around the panel the leading is in diagonals forming geometric patterns. Through the window, though fuzzily seen, is the east Mission Walkway and trees in the Workman House vicinity. With little indication of wear or damage, the artifact is in good condition.
