Description

Eastern San Gabriel Valley citrus groves and snow-covered mountains, 1920s. The view shows the groves and some houses and other structures, with open land near the foothills and Mount San Antonio (Baldy) and Ontario Peak covered with snow in the distance. The location appears to be Covina. Left of center on the image is "#67" in white. There is a pencil inscription on the reverse that is laudatory of the climate and agricultural productivity of the area. A stamp from the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce is also present. With stamp ink at the top, a tear at the right about two inches long that is repaired with tape on the reverse and some soiling, the condition is fair.
