A panoramic photograph, "Rt. Rev. Joseph Horsfall Johnson Laving Corner Stone of Saint Pauls Cathedral / May, 20 1923, Los Angeles Calif." The view shows a couple dozen clergy wearing their religious robes. Presumably a priest is seen standing above them all at the left and other persons on what appears to be a concrete slab foundation to which rough wooden stairs lead. The corner stone is held in place by a winch and pulley. A band in uniforms and dozens of other observers stand below and to the side of the corner stone and foundation. Residential structures are bordering the scene and some people are viewed in some of the windows of these. This item was purchased in July 2010, but the paperwork lost. The photograph has many tape-repaired tears already present when it was acquired, losses, abrasions, soiling and paper warping, the condition is poor.
