"Echoes in the Foot-Hills" by Bret Harte (Boston: James R. Osgood and Company,) 1875. The 146-page hardcover book has a brown cloth cover with a facsimile of Harte's signature on the center of the front within a gold border. The title, author's name, and publisher's logo are on the spine. The work consists of twenty poems under three headings: six poems each under "Spanish Idyls" and "In Dialect" and the remaining eight as "Miscellaneous Poems." With some significant edge and corner rubbing, dented edges and corners; light cover soiling; page darkening; light fading of the cover and spine lettering; a loss to the bottom right corner of the front flysheet; seller's stamps in several places; handling stains inside; and tears to the cover fabric at the edges and corners, the general condition is good.Lexicon
