Color: Black; White
A black and white reproduction photograph of Edgar Temple and Frank Romero at Clearlake, ca. 1928. The original was copied and part of the background can be seen. The image, which was badly exposed in the original processing, shows Edgar seated on the front bumper of a car with a ragtop. His left leg is crossed over his right knee; his right arm rests on his legs; and his left arm is resting on the hood of the vehicle. He wears a light-colored long-sleeved shirt, open at the collar and the sleeves rolled up, light-colored pants and dark-colored shoes. Romero stands to the right, leaning against the car. He wears a light-colored shirt with rolled-up sleeves, dark pants, and snap-brim cap. The car appears to be loaded up along the sides at the running board with quipment, but the image's exposure problems limit what can be made out. The upper reverse had a pencil inscription reading "Clearlake hunting trip - Edgar (left) and Frank / Romero; late 20s when family still lived in LCN; / God[f]rey Heslup (spelling?) organized the trip." With little indication of wear or damage, the image is in good condition.
