Description

EL CAMPO SANTO CEMETERY FROM THE SOUTHEASTERN CORNER, CA. 1920S Color: Black; White A negative of El Campo Santo Cemetery from its southeast corner, ca. 1920s. The view shows such features as the Walter P. Temple Memorial Mausoleum at the center, much of the 19th-century cast-iron fenced family plot at the right, including the John Rowland tombstone, grass lawns, arbor vitae plants and other bushes and shrubs and several small palm trees. In the distance at left is the top of the Water Tower and the San Gabriel palm tree next to La Casa Nueva. A woman stands on the sidewalk between the mausoleum and the fenced plot, just right of center. Aside from a darkened bottom edge, which does not intrude onto the image, there are no indications of damage or wear and the condition is good. Number-Units: 1
