Description

El Rey Market, probably Graham Photo Company, ca. 1929. The view is of the Spanish Colonial Revival-style structure at the intersection of Market and Commercial [likely today's Manchester Avenue]. The L-shaped structure has open stalls in a portico alignment and there is a small gas station at the corner at left. An inscription at lower center reads "'El Ray [sic] Market'/ Commercial and Market St. / Inglewood, Calif. / equipped by / Henslee Store Fixture Company." With minor soiling and edge wear, the condition is good.
