"Electric Refrigerator Recipes and Menus," by Alice Bradley and published by General Electric Company, 1929 printing. The 144-page hardcover book has a blue spine with overlap onto the covers, a checkered background with snowflakes within the gray diamond shapes (the other diamonds are white), and a black-bordered square panel at the upper center of the front cover. Within this is a light blue background, an oval-bordered center section with a black background and the title and publisher within the oval. After the foreword by the author is the table of contents, divided into menus for different occasions, refrigerators, general directions, freezing, ice blocks, cold soups and jellies, fruit cocktails and frozen salads; ices, sherbets, and frozen fruits; mousses, parfaits, and ice creams; ice cream sauces; varied flavors for desserts; metods of serving desserts; desserts for invalids; chilled deserts and pastries; and information on the General Electric refrigerator. An index follows the text and there are seven blank pages for notes. There are many color illustrations accompanying the recipes and descriptive sections. In good condition, the artifact has abrasions and rubbing at the top and bottom of the spine, small scratches on the front near the title, and some small tears on the cover.Lexicon
