"Electrical Contractors' Catalogue," published by the Merchandise Department of General Electric Company, 1925. The 376-page artifact has a black faux-leather softcover with the title at the center top of the front and the company logo under it. The company name and headuarters are at the bottom. On the spine is the title and company logo, with all cover lettering in gold ink. On the inside front cover and frontispiece is a list of G. E. distributing jobbers organized alphabetically by city. A title page, introduction, and black and white photograph of the company plant precede product listings, which commence on page 5. While the list of products is far too numerous to list, they include wire, cable, and cords; conductors; conduit; outlet boxes; connectors; couplings; sockets; switches; wall plates and outlets; fuses and related products; transformers; fans; oils, paints, and compounds; fibers and papers; and others. At the back is some reference material, including electrical units; named effects and laws; a list of abbreviations; tables of measuring units; metric equivalents; conversion factors; mechanics equations and relations; tables of multiples; and wiring plan symbols. Indices are for subject and catalog number, while several blank memoranda pages end the work. In fair condition, the artifact has creases and wear on the covers with some light wear and smearing on some pages.Lexicon
