Description
A snapshot of eleven persons at the ocean by a pier near Los Angeles, 21 August 1909. Four of the persons are women in white dresses, hats and white shpes and they stand on the base of a post supporting the pier. The others, including one man and six girls, wear black bathing costumes and stand in the water or sit on the base. An ink inscription at the reverse reads, "Los Angeles, California / Aug. 21st 1909." With poor exposure or fading at the upper left, the overall condition is fair.
