Color: Silver
An Elgin ladies' wrist watch, ca. 1928. The silver-colored item has a rectangular face with leaf-and-vine and other decorative elements on the border, an oval glass faceplate and an elongated face with roman numerals and the company name on it. There was some decorative work on the face, but most of it is faded away and it is hard to discern the pattern. The winding knob is on the right side of the case and the two sides have a vine-like decorative band. The band is of a chain-link style and these links have a kind of scrolled design on them. On the inside of the clasp is the notation that the watch was "KESTERNMADE" and was a "PERMAWEAR" item and there is patent information, as well. Other than the faded decorative element on the face, an abrasion on the bottom of the face, and minor scratches and wear on the case and band, the artifact is in good condition.Lexicon
