Description

Color: Black; White A reproduction black and white photograph of Elijah H. Workman, ca. 1865. The image is a portrait showing Workman's head and upper torso. He wears a dark-colored suit, with a white shirt and dark-colored bow tie, as well perhaps as a dark-colored vest. He is clean shaven with his hair parted at the right (from the viewer's vantage point) and some of his hair at the right brushed over towards his eyes. Workman was a nephew of William Workman and the photograph was possibly taken in 1867, shortly before or after he relocated briefly to Missouri, before returning to Los Angeles in about 1868. As a newly produced photograph, the artifact is in mint condition. Number-Units: 1
