Description

Color: Black; Orange "Elite Tables and Occasional Pieces," a furniture catalog issued by the Elite Furniture Company, 1929. The cover of the artifact is orange, with the brand name in large gold letters across the top and the words "Tables & Occasional Pieces" in smaller letters below. Under this is a woodcut-like image of a woodcarver in a square box, under a mantel-like design with vines and leaves. At the bottom is the date of the artifact. After a foreword, the product listings begin and include library tables; desks; davenports; folding, console and extension tables; end tables; gatelegs; nesting tables; coffee tables; magazine stands; book racks; tilt top tables; mirrors; wall desks; secretaries; humidors; smokers; radio tables; sewing and telephone cabinets; and pedestals and tabourettes. Each listing is accompanied by a drawing of the piece; a model number; dimensions and a brief description, including the types of wood, veneers and finishes. Although the pages are in good shape, the cover has stains; surface soiling; creases and small tears on the edges and the artifact is overall in fair condition.
