Description
A photo of 1220 W 40th Place, a Los Angeles residence, July 1908. The home is built on a gradient with a single fireplace and has a large front porch that shows a screened porch on the back of the home. Along the dirt road are construction markers and piles of brick, indicating this is a neighborhood still under constriction. The reverse has an inscription in pencil giving the address, date, and identifying the home as "Ella's bungalow." With creases on this photo and the bottom right corner missing, discoloration, yellowing of the image, the object is in fair condition.
