Description

Color: Black; white A photograph (a) and folio (b) of Ellen Temple Bancroft, daughter of F. P. F. Temple's brother Abraham and first cousin of Walter P. Temple, ca. 1925. Mrs. Bancroft is shown seated on a large dark wood and fabric chair with a tacked lace doily on the back. She wears a dark-colored dress with embroidered lace collar and what may be a jabot of white lace draped down from the collar. She holds a book in both hands. The folio is on textured dark colored paper and has an embossed W on the right gate and the studio name and address at the upper left of the left gate. There are no major indications of wear or damage on the photo and only slight tears at the upper left of the front portion of the folio and slight edge and corner wear on the folio, so both are in good condition. Number-Units: 1 Print Size: a) 9 3/4"H x 6 7/8"W; b) 10 1/4"H x 7 1/4"W
