Description

EMPTY CANISTER FOR REEL TWO OF PATHEX HOME FILM, "INTRODUCE ME" Color: Black; White An empty canister for reel two of the home-use motion picture, "Introduce Me," sold by Pathex, 1926. The item is black metal with the Pathex name, logo, note that the canister was made in France, and a bird-like logo on both sides. At the edge is a white label, on which is black lettering printed giving the item ID number "D-26", the name of Douglas MacLean, the star of the film, the film title, the note that it is part 2, and the descriptor, "Four Reel / DRAMA." The reel is item 2.4 and there are two other canisters, with their reels inside them, which are items 2.2 and 2.5, as well as the box for the reels which is 2.1. There is some minor abrasion wear to the canister, and still a smell of acetic acid off-gassing from the nitrate-based film, so the condition is considered fair and the reel will be permanently stored in a refrigerator.
