ENVELOPE FOR INVOICES TO WALTER P. TEMPLE FROM PATTEN & DAVIES LUMBER CO, POSTMARKED 2 APRIL 1921 An envelope from Patten & Davies Lumber Co. to Walter P. Temple, postmarked 2 April 1921. On white stationery, the envelope has a return address with the company name and Puente branch location printed at the upper left. A postmark from Puente, pre-stamped postage; and a typed address to "W. P. Temple / Puente, Cal." are the other identifying features. Inside were an account summary (97.58.10.29) and invoices (97.58.10.30-.41), but the envelope was sealed when deeded to the Homestead Museum. The envelope was opened and the items separated for investigation and cataloging. In fair condition, the envelope has the opening tear at the top; bent corners; a stain, perhaps from a rubber band on the front and occasional other stains on the surface; a variety of creases; and discoloration.
