Description

A cabinet card photo of the Evening Express booth during the flower festival, Los Angeles, CA. ca. 1920s. The white booth is covered in green vines and white Calla Lilys. There are two stuffed owls perched on the front corners of the booth. There are signs for Evening Express inside the booth. To the left appears to be palms. To the left is a wooden hut with a thatched roof and reed siding. It appears that these booths are inside a building, as there is a lamp, hanging from the ceiling. The bottom of the board has "Shaffner's California Views," on the left, and "509 Sixth Street, / Los Angeles" on the right. With missing pieces, moderate discoloration, delamination, heavy abrasion, stain, foxing, and soiling on the front and back, the object is in fair condition.
