Color: Black; White
A sample book of coated jacquard cotton fabrics issued by John Wilson Textiles, New York, 1927. The book has a paper cover, on the front of which is a title of "Exclusive / Custom Fabrics." Under this is "Showing / Jacquard-Two-Ply/ Broadcloths - in - colors/ Line No. 6000." At the bottom is "Delivery / March - April - May / - 1927 -." The company name and address is at the bottom right in a different font than the rest, which is in an Old English-style font, and there is a thin black line border around the edges. Inside are four panels labeled sets 21A through 21D. consisting of three samples each. Colors include blue, brown, and gray and include thick and thin stripes in some cases and a variety of patterns, mainly with curled lines and geometric shapes. At the bottom of each panel is a note that rolls are 32 inches wide. While the fabrics are in good condition, the cover has many creases and surface stains and so the artifact is in fair overall condition.
