Description

Color: Black; White A reproduction black and white photograph of F. P. F. Temple II, in a studio portrait from 9 February 1888. Shown as an infant, Temple is seated in a chair and may have been sitting on an animal skin rug. There may be some drapery or a piece of furniture in the background, as well. The baby wore a long white dress with pierced embroidery work at the hem, indicating that the image may have been taken for a baptism or christening. At the bottom is part of the border of the original cabinet card, showing the name and location of the photgrapher, F. G. Schumacher. An inscription on the back of the original was to the infant's uncle, Francis W. Temple, and gave the date and time of the child's birth and the date the image was taken. See item .5 for an image from the same photo session. As a newly manufactured copy, the artifact is in mint condition. Number-Units: 1
