A black and white strip negative with six images of farming, commerce, and railroading. The first two images are of a group of laborers picking an unknown crop in a field (see also 97.9.8 for another of this series.) The second three images show a group of about 20 men in front a messenger service office. The last image shows a Chinese railroad work crew on a push cart with a man, perhaps a railroad supervisor, standing beside the track. The images were used for public programs purposes and are not reproduced in the museum collection. The negative is in mint condition.
