Description
Figueroa Street and Tenth Street, Los Angeles, ca. 1918. The view is from the east side of Figueroa looking south and takes in a number of commercial buildings and an older residential structure or two, mainly on the opposite side of the thoroughfare. A streetcar and some automobiles are also on the street. On the reverse is an inscription noting the Alco Hotel and Glick's Drugstore in the four-story building at the center, as well as "Hollman's Business College down street." Hollman Business College was at 1017 S. Figueroa from 1913 through the early 1920s. With edge abrasions, warping, and browning, the overall condition is good.
