FIREPLACE IN THE ANDREATTA HOME, LA PUENTEEntry/Object ID
98.54.1.2Description
Color: Black; White
A black and white photograph of a concrete fireplace in the Andreatta home, La Puente, 1998. The fireplace is at the center, consisting of a plain rectangular mantel, columns on the sides with leaf-like designs at the top, a base with incised lines; a rusticated, almost Romanesque-like, section facing over the hearth on the frame front; and, just below the mantel, a decorative panel with an image of what appears to be a mission at the center with an arched wall extending to the left and landscaping, including two large trees at either end of the panel. Also in the image are two small windows flanking the fireplace, part of a television and chair and the fireplace screen at the left. The fireplace was in the Andreatta home in La Puente, which was being vacated and the object was photographed for documentation. In mint condition, there are no signs of wear or damage.
