Color: Black; White
A negative of a black and white photograph of the First National Bank of Puente, 1920. The flat-roofed building is at the triple intersection of Main Street and Glendora and Central avenues. On the wall facing to the left, the building has an awning about four feet below the cornice and is lined with ceramic shingles and has a wood edging. To the far left is a doorway with long narrow windows on either side and transom on top. On the left of the doorway is a double-hung sash window with a protruding sill across the bottom. To the right are three more matching windows, all with writing, including the bank's name, on the bottom center. A fourth window is on a wall facing the intersection with writing on the bottom pane reading, "FIRST NATIONAL/ BANK/ OF/ PUENTE." Directly on the corner is another wall where the double doors of the main entrance are located. Around the door is a molded jamb and cornice. On either side near the top are lanterns with a transom above, and a ceramic shingle-covered awning above. Over the awning are the words, "FIRST NATIONAL BANK OF PUENTE," molded onto the stucco facade. In the right background is part of an awning, a sidewalk with a Camino Real marker, Central Avenue, bushes, trees, and part of the Puente Hills. In the foreground is Main Street. The artifact, which has a corresponding print in 99.5.11.239, is in good condition.
