Five persons at a beach, probably Santa Monica or Venice, ca. 1890s. The closeup shows one man and four women seated in the sand and wearing bathing costumes. In the background is an area with fencing, posts, a canvas-like cover and, possibly, building construction. Wothj some fading, light soiling and minor edge rubbing, the overall condition is good.
