Color: Black
A stone flake, found in the field to the east of the historic area of the museum, 19 November 1994. The piece has a dark black surface on the top and bottom over a natural colored stone, so it appears the piece was painted or colored. From the considered opinion of collection manager Christopher A. Shaw of the George C. Page Museum, the piece is probably an artifact (manuport) and is worthy of further investigation. It is in good condition.Lexicon
