Description

A snapshot photograph of flood damage at the Arroyo Seco, Highland Park, Los Angeles, February 1914. The photographer stood along one side of the watercourse and captured a collapsed bridge at Avenue 43 and some plant debris next to it. In the background are portions of some houses and there are several observers on the bridge. An inscription on the reverse reads, "Arroyo seco and remains of Avenue 43 bridge." Separately is the year "1914." There is some soiling and edge rubbing, but the overall condition is good.
