"Forged Iron Hardware Catalog No. 6," issued by the McKinney Manufacturing Company, 1929. The 93-page artifact has a blue cardstock cover with the title and manufacturer's name at the bottom of the front in black and white. At the top left is a square within which is a red, white, and yellow illustration of a castle. Adhered to the right of this is a black, red, and yellow label that reads, "YOU CAN GET IT / AT VONNEGUT'S." The title and manufacturer's name is on the back along with an illustration of a wooden door with iron fittings. At the beginning of the inside are a correction sheet, title page, introduction, as well as alphabetical and numerical indices. Items listed include a variety of iron door trim; cylinders; handles; locks; push plates; hinges; latches; knobs; pulls; turn pieces; key plates; bolts; peep-holes; knockers; numerals; cabinet and garage hardware; and more. Black and white illustrations and photographs are included. With many abrasions; creases; dents; discoloration; soiling; and tears along the spine, the object is in poor condition.Lexicon
