FRAME FOR PHOTOGRAPH OF FRANCIS W. TEMPLE II, CA. 1909
Color: Gold
A frame, which housed a photograph of Francis W. Temple, ca. 1909. The item is ornately decorated with floral and vine patterns and appears to have been painted at least twice. On the back, affixed to the cardboard matte is a white index card with an inscription reading "Francis Workman Temple II / 1888-1909 / passed away at 21 of T. B. [tuberculosis] / They called him Frank." The print was removed from the frame for preservation upon receipt by the Museum. Paint on the glass indicates repainting of the frame, which has cracked joints at the upper left and lower right, cracking at several locations, gouges, and soiling. It is in fair condition.
