Description

Color: Black; White A reproduction photograph from the original daguerreotype or ambrotype of Francis W. Temple, ca. 1870. The image captures the gold-colored, ornately-decorative case, as well as the image, which shows Temple in a head and upper torso view. His clothes consist of a jacket, white shirt, and cravat or tie. The original, however, is greatly faded. Temple owned the Homestead from 1876 to 1888 and the image appears to be from his younger days, perhaps while attending school in Massachusetts, where he was said to have attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. As a newly printed image, the artifact is in mint condition. Number-Units: 1
