Description

Transparency, Color: A color transparency of a French-style blown glass bowl and vase, 1996. Photographed by Don Short on a simple white background, the bowl is seen at left and the vase at right. Both have black metal frames--that of the bowl has several ovals at the center with interlacing stem-like pieces between them and that of the vase has small circles at the center joined by vertical strips from base to lip. The glass is blown in to the metal frames--the glass in the bowl is shades of brown with some clear portions and that of the vase is a reddish brown color. The collection numbers are 79.13.6 for the vase and 79.13.7 for the bowl. The transparency is in good condition with no discernible wear. None
