Description
FRENCH DOOR, NORTH SIDE OF LA CASA NUEVA LIVING ROOM
Color: Brown; White; Yellow
A color polaroid photograph of a pair of french doors in the north side of La Casa Nueva, ca. 1977. Most of the wooden frame is available including parts of the top hinges. The six leaded glass panels have some pieces of various sizes of colored glass for decoration, but are largely clear. Through the glass can be seen some of the front area of La Casa Nueva, including the surrounding adobe wall and some of the landscaping. A pencil inscription at the bottom reads "STYLE FOR D106 / D105," indicating that other doors were replicated using these as models, but it is not clear which ones these were. Aside from some surface soiling, there is little indication of wear or damage, and the artifact is in good condition.
