Description

FRENCH DOORS TO THE LA CASA NUEVA LIVING ROOM AND THE HOME FROM THE WEST Color: Black; White A black and white negative of the east French doors to the La Casa Nueva Living Room and the home from the west, ca. 1920s. The strip has six images numbered 13-18 from right to left, with the Living Room in 13-14 and 17-18. The doors are at the left flanked by the painted windows of the eldest Temple family children, with Agnes at the left and Thomas at the right. Some details of the arched windows, including the Temples' costumes, are visible. At the bottom are some bushes, with part of the Master Bedroom balcony at the top. At the far right a palm tree and a perimeter wall. La Casa Nueva and the Mission Walkway, which are in 15-16, are at the back. Only the home's tile roof is clearly visible behind the walkway's arcade. Many palms, trees, and bushes are behind and across the front of the walkway. An empty field is across the foreground. Images for the negatives are in the accession as items .1.1-.28 with a contact sheet being item .29. The artifact is in good condition with no signs of wear or damage. Number-Units: 1
