FROM ALL OF US TO ALL OF YOU/A JOYOUS CHRISTMAS
Postcard: A Christmas postcard. ca. 1910s, with a drawing of a large home at center, colored red, and surrounded by lush multi-colored landscaping with flowers, bushes, shrubs, and small trees. The image is labeled at top in red lettering as a "Typical California Residence." Around the border of the drawing at the upper left and lower right corners are oranges with leaves and blossoms. At background top and right are orange trees and snow-covered mountains. At lower left is the message. The card was used, with a message from Stella to Cecelia Lallemand of Arlington, Washington, dated 20 December 1920. Published by Western Publishing & Novelty Co. of Los Angeles and designed by Theo Sohrner, also of Los Angeles, the card was purchased from dealer Jim Reid and is fair condition with light discoloration and some edge wear, particularly noticeable in the corners. Text: "Dear Cecelia,/Why don't you/write? I wrote/last Sept./Season's Greetings/to you all, from/us/ Stella."Lexicon
