Description

Front and side of Sue M. Allison residence, Los Angeles, ca. 1910s. The Craftsman-style bungalow has interesting eaves and beams with upturned edges suggesting an Asian influence, as well as bay windows, wood shingled siding, brick pilasters for the porch and thick casement windows. At the far right is the garage, which has decorative elements in common with the house. Part of the driveway, front walk, grass lawn and landscape around the house is in view. The house, at 154 S. St. Andrews Place, still stands with much of its architectural detailing intact. With some soiling, a stain at the sky at the upper right, and album paper residue on the reverse, the condition is good.
