GABRIELA Q. TEMPLE WITH IMAGES OF WALTER P. AND THOMAS W. TEMPLE, SAN GABRIEL CITY HALL, CA. 1972
Color: Color
A color photograph of Gabriela Q. Temple standing next to a photograph of her late husband, Thomas W. Temple II and his father, Walter P. Temple, at San Gabriel City Hall, 1972. Mrs. Temple is at left wearing a blue and green print dress and white sweater and is looking to her right at a brown wood paneled wall with the photograph and painting. The photo, at upper right, shows Thomas Temple in a suit, dark hat and holding a pipe in his right hand. Below the photo is a plaque, which cannot be easily seen as to whether it relates to the Temples. Next to this on the left is the painting, which is very dark, but shows Walter Temple seated and holding a book in his left hand. As the donor of the city hall site, Walter Temple's portrait, painted in 1924, was placed in the building at that time. Shortly after his death in 1972, the photograph of Thomas Temple was placed on the wall next to his father's painting. The photo is slightly warped from being housed in a frame, but is otherwise in good condition.
